Spanish at CELA

Mi Familia!
My first month traveling alone in my life was actually a smooth transition into a new comfort zone. For my first month in Venezuela I decided to t
ake a language course to practice my Spanish and help me get around the country easier. The home stay options offered by the school could not have paired me up with a better family; speaking absolutely no English the family was overly accommodating, always making sure I had everything I needed. Very open to others they tried to know as much about me as they could with the language barrier, interested in the continuation of my travels trying to live vicariously through me as I planned on visiting places that they haven’t seen in their own country!
Hard working, serious, and also fun we had a wonderful time from day to day learning more about each other via my new second language, challenging of course but even more rewarding when it was over. Not only did I meet some amazing people but I was also truly immersed into the culture forcing me to absorb as much as possible to survive the remainder of my travels!
If I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t change a thing! Gracias a ellos!
